Carolina Predators dominate Carolina Raiders 50-6

Updated: Jun 21, 2019

The Carolina Predators were able to dominate all phases of the game last night against the Carolina Raiders with a 50-6 win.

The Predators were led on offense by QB Darius Thomas.  Thomas was able to dissect the Raiders defense with two TD passes to Wide Receiver Al Bryant and 1 to Wide Receivers DeAngelo Ruffin and Timothy Mccaskill.  Thomas also had a quarterback scamper on an option for 48 yards for a touchdown with a great block by TE/DE George Wilson.   Timothy Mccaskill came in at Quarterback and threw a touchdown pass to a wide open DeAngelo Ruffin for his second touchdown.   The ground game was handled by duo Ronnie Edwards and Jamal Tillman.  Edwards and Tillman had punishing runs and dominated the Predators' ground attack.

The defense took the Raiders best shot in the first quarters when the Raiders quarterback broke for a 8 yard QB scamper for a touchdown.   The was the Raiders lone score for the game.   The defense was led by linebacker and captain Ralph "Pac-Man" Scott.  There were stand out performances by Defensive End George Wilson and Defensive tackle John Guwap.  Wilson was able to pick up a fumble and rumble down field for about 40 yards to give the offense possession.   The linebacker core, Anjello Silva, Michael Cunningham, Ralph King, and Cam Cameron gave the Carolina Raiders more than they could handle.   Cameron and a host of Predators were able to sack Raiders QB for a safety to break the hearts of the opposition.

The secondary was able to keep the ball away from the receivers of the Raiders all night long.   There were several pass breakups by Antonio Mayes,  Martinez Gallman,  Tyson Grayson,  Mark Boyd, and Laviery Baxter.
